Niche and Content Ideas for Info Products


When you want to create an info product, one of the important things to think about is what exactly your product will be based on. This is the part where you will do your research on your niche and try to find one that will be right.

A good niche is one which has people interested in paying for a product that will solve a problem and answer their questions, but is specific enough to not be too saturated with other products. So for example, instead of a general product about “affiliate marketing”, you could create an info product about “Using Twitter for Affiliate Marketing”, etc.

Doing niche research will take a bit of time to complete, but it’s not a complicated task. You can use Google’s keyword tool to see search volumes and competition levels for specific keywords that are related to your niche. You can also read Yahoo Answers, blogs and discussion forums to find out the type of questions that people are asking the most often about your general niche and see if there’s a more specific, sub niche that you can exploit from that.

Also, doing niche research involves looking at the competition. Are there any other info products which target the specific niche that you are after? If so, what do they claim they offer and how much do these products cost? What can you do to make your product better than competitors and thus more appealing to buyers? These are all valid questions that you would need to ask yourself when you’re in the niche selection phase of product creation. Remember, a successful product will often be one that offers something more and actually stands out from the crowd, rather than simply being the same thing that has been done dozens of times, just under a different name.

Now that you have thought about and selected your specific niche, it is time to consider the content that you will put in your product. There are many different ways that you can deliver the content, such as in the format of an ebook, videos, interactive tutorials, audio guides, etc. Sure, some formats might be better in certain niches, but the actual content of your product is the most important part, regardless of how you will be delivering it to the buyer.

Obviously, when creating a product, having some solid knowledge and experience in the niche of your product will help out a lot. You will already have an idea of what you will want to include in your product and how you will structure the information contained in your future product. This is why it’s also recommended that you select a niche that you actually have an interest in, as it will make creating the content a lot easier and less time consuming for you. What Offers To Promote With Yahoo Answers


We’ve seen that you can use Yahoo Answers in order to get some free traffic to your website. But some people wonder whether it is the right place for them to get traffic for THEIR site. Let’s take a look at what types of offers or products that you can successfully promote using them.

Affiliate/CPA offers.

This is the main thing that online marketers do to earn money: push some affiliate offers. You can get traffic to your offers by using Yahoo Answers, but you need to do it the right way. First, don’t post affiliate links on Yahoo Answers. Doing so will rapidly get you banned, as remember, it is not a place to advertise, but rather to share useful information. Therefore, you will need to build a landing page and get a domain name for your site. A $0.99 .info domain will do here.

Now, what kind of offers will do well here? While some people have had success with offers that require a credit card or a purchase, I have noticed that offers which simply require the person to sign up for a site or fill out information do better.

For example, if you are targeting the “make money online” niche, you have some options. You could build a simple, one or two page site that gives information on various paid survey opportunities and insert your affiliate links there. When you answer the question, provide some useful information about how online surveys work and how they can make some easy money and then send the reader to your site in order to compare various survey sites. You could also build a landing page for a free biz opp offer and send the reader there. You get $2 – $5 for every person that fills out the form.

There are other niches for you to explore as well. Many people ask questions about how much car insurance costs or how to get a student loan. There are plenty of pay per lead offers which are related to these niches. Just answer the askers question, and then tell them that “you found this site” which lets them compare car insurance quotes or get proposals for student loans, etc. Try out various types of offers and see what converts best.

No matter what you do, do not simply spam your website link all over the place. You should appear as a genuine participant in Yahoo Answers. Ask questions yourself. Answer some questions in other niches without linking to any website.

You could do this in about 1 or 2 hours each day. But if you want to save time, you can always hire a freelancer to answer the questions and participate for you. There are plenty of people who would be willing to do the work for you for a small amount, such as $0.25 per answer they post on the site.

As we all know, traffic is king in the internet marketing world. No traffic to your site equals no money for you, since there is no one visiting your site. There are various ways that you can use to get traffic to your website, but many webmasters are looking for free traffic. Is it even possible? Don’t you need to spend money in order to make money? Well, thanks to the power of the internet, it is possible to get free exposure for your site and thus draw visitors to it.

Yahoo Answers is a very good way to bring people to your website. For those of you who don’t know, Yahoo Answers is a place where people ask questions about various topics and others give them answers. The good thing about this platform is that you can insert a link to your site in your answer. Also, the site gets a lot of traffic from all around the world. What makes it a great marketing tool is that anyone can see the questions and answers, not only the person who asked the question.

But in order to stay out of trouble and get the maximum benefit from Yahoo Answers, you need to conduct your marketing activities properly. Remember, this is a place where users seek information. They don’t come to Yahoo Answers in order to be bombarded with commercial advertisements. It is better for you to build a landing page, rather than insert affiliate links. This will seem a lot less suspicious to Yahoo.

To stay below the radar, vary your answers, don’t simply copy and paste the same answer to everyone, even if the question is the same. Give answers in different topics as well, without inserting any links. Even if the site you are promoting is related to online surveys, for example, answer some questions about other things such as dogs or computers or whatever else you may know about as well. This will make it look like you are a legitimate contributor, rather than someone who is just answering questions related to their niche to get clicks to their own site. You should give more answers without your link than those with it.

The traffic that you will receive may start slowly, but if you keep at it you will soon get enough visitors to make some decent commissions or sales each month.

If you are not aware of Yahoo Answers it’s a website that allows people to post questions and you will simply answer these questions with a good response. Then when you gain enough credibility to answer questions in the best way possible you can link back to resource pages on your website and get some immediate traffic from answering questions of targeted prospects!

#4 – Blog Commenting

Blog commenting is an effective strategy for getting more visitors. You can find high traffic blogs in your marketplace and post valuable comments, adding to the value of the post and include a link back to your website, usually in the name of your post.

Do not spam and link to your website in the actual post, but write a compelling and good answer and people will click your name anyway!

I’ve got tons of free squidoo lenses on the internet that get free targeted traffic, which then funnels that traffic to my websites. I highly suggest you create a couple of lenses and start promoting your website with Squidoo, as well as HubPages right now!

#7 – Hub Pages

Hubpages (the website you are no right now) has over 100,000 people in its community ready to visit your hub, if it’s valuable enough to the visitor. So create a couple of hubs that help promote yourself or your website. Since the community doesn’t like spammy hubs, make sure you create a hub with genuine value, such as this hub. It has a list of resources and methods for going about getting traffic to your website.

Share your bookmarks on this site, make a few omments on other people’s content and link back to your own conent. Thousands of people have the opportunity to see your site and visit it for their needs!

The most important thing when driving traffic is keyword research! If your keywords are not targeted to people who want what you offer it’s not going to be a match anyway. There are a few rules to think about when it comes to keyword research, some of the things include the amount of searches per month, and the competing pages in search engines.

Try to find keywords with 2,000 searches or more per month, obviously, and less than 25,000 competing pages in Google, where few are authority sites on the first page of the search engine you are targeting.

So let’s say you have 5,300 searches per month for a keyword, that might get you 0 visitors, unless you are ranked high in Google for that term, so the competition might be “100,000″ in quotes.

That is too much, but if the same keyword had 5,300 searches and only 8,241 competing pages in Google you will more likely rank for that keyword! Understand? Great!

#10 – Press Release Distribution

Press Releases are free to submit on many websites. They can turn out to be a good promotional tool if you have something worthy of a news announcement. Got a new website? Release a press release about your new website, that’s simple enough! Try to target your press release to your keywords and submit it to.

Get active in forums and start posting good answers to people questions. Share links to your other resources that you created, articles, videos etc. Share some photos of yourself too! Join in the many discussions going on and try to establish a sense of authority and credibility in the forum as somebody who is a good valuable resource.
