Avoid Going With Bad SEO Partners

Many webmasters that are looking to have their site go up on search engines are also seeking to partner up with others to help them manage either all or part of their SEO needs. Indeed, there are many reputable firms out there which offer excellent services to their clients. But remember, anybody can call themselves a “SEO Expert” and offer their services to unsuspecting buyers. If you want to avoid wasting money on poor results, here are some things you will want to keep under consideration:

Avoid Giving Large Projects to Unknown Businesses

There are plenty of webmasters out there which would like to have one company handle all of their SEO needs, such as on page optimization, content production, backlink building, etc. While this is fine, it often involves paying more than a few hundred dollars in advance. This is something you should be careful with. Check the reputation of the people you will be dealing with beforehand. Take a look at their online presence to see if they’ve been operating for a long time and if they have some actual satisfied clients.

Be Careful With Cheap Content Providers

One of the main areas of SEO would be the creation of content. We all know that it’s important to have unique articles or blog posts to help rank your pages. There are many content providers online, but also there are many of them which aren’t good. The general rule is avoid those that offer services too cheaply. If they offer to create 10 x 500 word articles for $10… then you should know that something’s not right. Yes, you’ll probably receive your content. But the following will happen: either these will be plagiarized articles that were simply copied from the web and had a few words changed here and there, or they will simply be articles written in poor English that just have your keywords thrown in at random. Anyone familiar with SEO will know that such content will be useless to you.

Same Thing With Backlink Builders

First of all, buying backlinks is not a recommended practice for durable SEO. Your backlinks should come naturally either from your own efforts such as by including links to your site in social media or YouTube videos that you post, or from other people that link to your site’s pages because they truly found the content to be useful. If you check out freelancing sites or webmaster forums, there will often be members claiming that they can get you hundreds of high quality backlinks for a few dollars. More often than not, these backlinks are definitely not of the quality that was promised and are actually quite bad, coming from sites that are either unrelated to your niche or which already contain dozens of links to completely different sites, which will do nothing to help you with SEO. Also, too many of these links will get your site penalized as it will look like you’re trying to game the system with search engines.

Some Easy to Avoid SEO Mistakes

Some Easy to Avoid SEO Mistakes

When it comes to SEO, there are some common mistakes that webmasters make which could be detrimental to actually getting a website to secure a good place in rankings on Google as well as other search engines. However, it should be known that these common mistakes are things that could be easily avoided by just following some simple pieces of advice. Here are the most common errors and ways that you can avoid them:

Focusing too Much on Length of Content

While you may have read that Google prefers content that is longer, this really depends on the context and doesn’t automatically mean that longer articles, blog posts, etc. will give you a magic ticket to a number one spot on Google for your chosen keywords. Remember that the reason why you’re writing the content in the first place is for the readers on your website and not for search engines. If you have a topic that you could comfortably write an 800 word article on, then you can do that. However, there are cases where a shorter post could be just as good. For example, if you’re writing about a specific model of decorative mailbox, it’s going to be pointless to try to force a 1000 word article on it, as there’s just a limited amount of things that you can say about a mailbox without going off topic or repeating the same things over and over with different words. Remember, if somebody came to your site, it’s because they’re interested in knowing more about this mailbox, what it’s made of, how does it look, etc. They’re probably not interested in reading a 2000 word essay about the history of the international postal system.

Using Keyword Stuffing

Keywords in articles should appear naturally. If you write an article that is about a specific topic, then there shouldn’t be any problem getting a keyword density of 1 to 3% in the article. Forcing in a large amount of keywords will not be helpful with regards to SEO. This is for 2 reasons: it makes the text harder to read and makes it look not natural. Also, search engines penalize pages that were clearly designed with nothing but SEO in mind, such as those which contain keywords that are deliberately overused.

Adding New Content to Your Website or Blog Every Single Day

If your site deals with certain topics that change daily, such as news, this could be necessary and very useful. But otherwise, there’s no need to keep posting new things every single day. This is especially if the new content doesn’t actually bring anything useful or informative to your readers but is just a repeat of what you’ve said the days before. Regular site visitors who see this will find your site boring rather quickly and stop visiting it. It also puts you at risk of getting penalized as your site will start having more and more duplicate content posted on it within a short amount of time. Updating your site is good, but don’t do it just for the sake of updating either.

Why It’s Important to Avoid SEO Mistakes

Why It’s Important to Avoid SEO Mistakes

It’s not a big secret that when you’re building a website, if you want to get it to rank well in search engines, then some SEO work is in order. This makes plenty of webmasters do their research on various websites, blogs, forums, etc. dedicated to the topic of search engine optimization. Getting information on the topic is of course the way to go and just like with anything, knowledge is power. So the more you know, the more you will actually be able to apply in a practical context on your website. But when you research information, it’s very important that the SEO tips that you read are actually good information and not some of the myths and misconceptions that keep re appearing on many sites. These actually cause webmasters to make mistakes when it comes to SEO and often make them waste time focusing on things that aren’t important.

The issue of wasting time is definitely one to consider for any webmaster. If you’re working on your site, or on your websites by yourself, then in many cases you only have a few hours a day to make things happen. You definitely don’t want to spend that time doing things that won’t matter and won’t help you achieve your goals as far as search engine rankings will go. Instead, you could be focusing on improving the content of your website or actually using SEO techniques that will work.

There’s also one big problem when it comes to bad SEO advice. If you apply the wrong SEO techniques to your website, this could end up actually hurting your chances of gaining a good position in search engine results rather than helping you. Now if you’re just making this mistake on one of your mini sites and you have 50 more of them, it may not be such a big deal, as you can start all over again. But if this is your main business website we’re talking about, then this would be even more problematic.

So the question is, how do you avoid making mistakes in SEO? The first thing would be to look for quality information. This can come from well reputed sources, such as websites and blogs of SEO experts. If you take advice from a forum or any other website where user generated content is posted, then first evaluate what’s being said and whether other members agree with it or not.

Avoid Black Hat SEO techniques. These are methods that take advantage of loopholes in search engines systems and are mainly designed with the hope of rapidly getting a website to go up on a search engine, even though it wouldn’t normally “deserve” to get to that position. Using such methods will rapidly get your website penalized as search engines catch on to them and close the loopholes that were used. If you want to build a good reputation online for your site, you should seek out techniques that allow legitimate and long term growth, not tricks to try to get ahead too quickly.

Services Arbitrage – Another Great Way To Earn

Services Arbitrage – Another Great Way To Earn

Many of you are wondering if there is a quick and easy way to earn some cash online that doesn’t require much technical skills and lets you get paid very rapidly. If this interests you, keep reading. Sure, working with affiliate networks and CPA offers can be very rewarding. Some may even say that this is what internet marketing is “truly about”. But there are some other ways to make some cash online.

You probably know that you can freelance and offer some services to webmasters and fellow marketers. These include things such as logo design, article marketing, web design, etc. Now this is all fine. But there are a few drawbacks. First, these take time to do. Second, you would need to actually have the skills required to complete the client’s project.

But in comes the concept of arbitrage. It is a concept that has existed since antiquity and simply means profiting form price differences between two markets. Basically: buy low, sell high. You get clients to pay you an amount of money for a project. You then outsource it to workers and pay them less than what you get paid. So if your client pays you $100 to create a basic website for their company, you hire a web designer that can do it for say $70 and pocket the difference. Nothing complicated, your job simply consists of finding clients and maintaining a team of freelancers who can do the job at competitive rates.

Now where do you find the workers? There are plenty of places that you can look at. There are several internet marketing forums such as Digital Point where you can get people to do various tasks at inexpensive rates. Microworkers is a freelancing site where you can find the same. And for really small projects, such as article writing, try Fiverr. All workers there can charge only $5 per task.

What about the clients? Now, hey! Wait a minute… Won’t they simply go directly to the source and get workers who can do the project for cheap? The thing is, not all people are involved in the whole internet marketing scene. Many do not know where to find low-cost workers to perform the tasks. Some may prefer to deal only with local businesses. The best channels to advertise your services would be online classifieds sites, such as Craigslist, Kijiji, Backpage and Gumtree. If you are doing web design for businesses, you can also try some offline methods, such as advertising in classified ads or send out fliers.

Remember to tweak and adjust this method to your unique needs and tastes. Start out small, create relationships with your workers, create regular clients and build a reputation for yourself. Some people have built seven figure businesses by doing pretty much what was described in this post. With some dedication and entrepreneurship on your part, you can turn this into a full time business if you wanted to.
