Tips for a Successful Blog: Having Good Content

We’ve seen all the good design elements which make a blog useful and likely to be profitable for you. But now there’s one important thing that you need to figure out: the content of your new blog. Your visitors will come to your blog to read something that is interesting and informative in their eyes. Therefore, you will need to ensure that what you have on your blog will keep your readers happy and make them want to come back to it for more. Here is some good advice on how you can accomplish this:

Make Regular Posts

If you want your readers to stay interested in your blog, then you would need to make new posts on a regular basis. This doesn’t mean you have to post every day if you’re just going to end up repeating what you’ve said in the past few days. But you shouldn’t leave your blog without any new updates for several weeks, as people may think that the blog is “dead” and that you’re no longer actively maintaining it. By making regular posts, readers will be more eager to know when you’ve added something to your blog.

Keep Your Posts Brief and to the Point

If you have a lot to say about a certain topic, then it would be better for you to break it up into several different posts that discuss the main points you would like to make. You could have a “series” of posts that focus on a certain aspect of your niche.

Format Your Posts Well

One good example of this would be just reading this post. As you can see, it is formatted in paragraphs with sub headers. Nobody wants to read a wall of text, as it’s simply hard to follow. If you’re going to make a post that is say 500 words long, then you will need to divide it into paragraphs that are structured according to the points that you’re making in your post. So if you’re reviewing a new digital camera, one paragraph could deal with the performance and the other one about the price and availability.

Include Multimedia Content

While it’s true that blogs are mainly used for sharing text, it doesn’t mean you can’t include anything else. Adding a thumbnail image that is relevant to the topic at hand will make the blog post more attractive to readers. If you need to include a photo, graphic or diagram that will provide explanation or reinforce the point that you’re trying to make, then you can do so as well. Of course, it is possible to add video content to a blog post quite easily too. Some topics, especially if you’re showing the reader how to do something, such as installing a graphics card in a computer or navigating their way around a certain piece of software, could be much easier to understand for your blog visitors if you included a video in addition to text instructions. To save bandwidth, you can host the videos on an external video sharing service like YouTube.

Article Marketing – How To Be More Efficient – Part 2

Article Marketing – How To Be More Efficient – Part 2

While article marketing is an effective way to promote various offers or products online, some people seem to have a bit of trouble cranking out enough articles for their efforts to be effective. Here are some more tips to make the whole thing go easier for you and which just may increase your revenue.

Do your research quickly.

Some articles will require that you do a fair amount of research before you are able to create some usable content. That’s a known fact. However, you must be able to complete that research rather quickly. After all, you are not writing a high school essay here where you have 2 weeks to write 1000 words.

When you do your research, open up multiple tabs in your browser that contain information that is related to your niche. See if they contain useful things that you can use in your article. Close those that don’t. Then, start writing right away. A lot of marketers spend too much time simply reading the information and thinking about whether they should include that in their articles.

Improve your typing speed.

Some of us can easily crank out 60 words per minute. Others type with one finger and it takes them an hour just to write one paragraph. Not much to say here except that you will need to practice your typing in order to be able to type faster. The more you practice, the better you will get at it, that’s pretty much guaranteed.

You can also consider using voice recognition software, like Dragon Naturally Speaking. This software will basically write everything that you are saying for you. If you aren’t too fast of a typist, this could be a viable solution for you.

Consider outsourcing part of your work.

If you simply have too many articles that you need to write, why not outsource some of your writing to a third party? There are many places where you can find a freelancer willing to do some of the work for you, such as internet marketing forums and freelancing sites. Getting quality articles done is not that expensive. In fact, you can easily find people who would be willing to create a 500 word article for around $5. Remember that you get what you pay for, however. So don’t necessarily go with whoever is offering the cheapest writing service, but rather with a writer that is capable of following your instructions and writing in proper English.

Practice makes perfect.

This applies in many areas of life, not just article writing. So remember, the more articles you write on any given niche, the more proficient you will get in it and the faster you will be able to crank out that content. Writing your articles faster means more money in your pocket, as you will have more opportunities to get traffic due to the fact that you have posted more articles, plus you can also focus on growing and improving your business more rather than be always busy writing marketing materials.

Build A Better Sales Page

Build A Better Sales Page

If you’re building your online business around selling products rather than ad revenue, you’re going to need a sales page. A sales page is exactly what it sounds like – a page designed with the specific intent of selling a product. There are a few elements that any sales page should have.

The Headline

The headline at the top of the page should give the visitor a clear picture of what’s on the page, and whether or not it’s what they’re looking for. Use a large font, and make sure the headline is concise, and informative.

Sub Headline

You might also want to include a sub headline that gives a little more detail about the product found on that page. If you don’t go with a sub headline, make sure to include a lot of detail in the first paragraph under the headline. You want to give your customer all the information they need to decide whether the product on that page is of interest to them as quickly as you can. You don’t have to make the sale in the headline and the first paragraph, but you do have to get the customer’s attention.

Draw Them In

Instead of simply listing off the product’s features, try telling a story about the product, or presenting the information in an interesting way. If you can get the customer interested in reading about the product, the chances that they will actually buy it will go up significantly.

More Sub Headers

If you didn’t use a sub header at the top of your sales page, you should still use them throughout the rest of your sales copy. Section the page off into easily consumed parts, and put a sub header above each so the reader knows what to expect from the next few paragraphs.

Guarantee

Be sure to include a guarantee about what the product will do for the customer. Don’t make outrageous claims with your guarantee. Keep it reasonable, and focus on the most attractive benefits of the product, and your guarantee will help to make sales.

A good sales page can make the difference between selling a lot of product and selling next to nothing. Be sure to keep these tips in mind while setting up your sales page, and you’ll be on your way to more sales in no time.

Build a Successful Blog

Building a successful blog isn’t easy. It takes a ton of work, long hours promoting, writing, submitting to directories, and doing other mundane tasks.

But, luckily building a successful blog is possible. There are so many niches that need a top site still, and the field is wide open. Maybe you are an expert pottery maker, photographer, or management consultant. There are numerous people each day looking for content on your topic avidly online and you can be the site that they come to.

Content
Writing good content is really important to having a successful blog. Content should be aimed at readability for your visitors, but also for search engine optimization.

It takes a delicate balance between writing for the search engines and for your users.

The best way I can suggest to do it is to use keywords as part of sentences only when you need it. For example, if I have a website about chocolate pancakes, I do not need to include that in every sentence or even every other sentence. However, I can use the keyword in the opening sentence or as part of a sentence when needed. The other thing you can do is add your keyword to your content using h2 title tags within the content. You can have your opening sentence or “thesis” at the start of your paragraph even with your keyword in it, as a way to draw attention to your main idea for your reader, and to improve your search engine optimization (SEO) rank.

Marketing
Marketing your blog can be a chore unless you want to do it the right way. Marketing can be a lot of fun — visiting your favorite blogs on your specific niche can be a great way to market your blog through commenting on their recent posts. Engaging with top bloggers can get your name out there and get people to follow your blog when you write engaging comments and participate in discussion.

Another marketing method is to join forums that are related to your niche. Promote your blog lightly, through your forum signature only — or else you will just seem like a spammer.

Start slow building your blog and relationships with your readers. Find and engage your audience, promote it through social media, bookmarking and forums and take your time to build it, it will not come over night so be patient.
