Twitter Tips Anyone Can Use

Each day, Twitter users post millions of tweets covering just about every topic you can imagine. No matter what niche you cover, people are talking about it on Twitter. Working with Twitter as a marketing tool can be challenging, and there’s not single strategy that’s going to apply to everyone’s situation, but there are a few tips you can keep in mind to get off to a good start with Twitter.

Multiple Accounts

If you intend to deal with multiple niches you might want to consider starting multiple accounts. There isn’t always a lot of overlap between niches, and the audience for one niche may not appreciate the content intended for another. Setting up a Twitter account for each niche you want to market to gives you the ability to target the content on each account to the audience you’re trying to reach, and it also cuts down on other users unfollowing you because they don’t care for the content that was intended for the other niche.

Entertain Your Followers

You probably want to use Twitter to promote your website, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but if you do nothing but promote your website with it, you’re going to lose followers. Instead, spend a lot of time giving your followers interesting content. Post tweets that either entertain, or inform your followers. Most of your tweets shouldn’t contain a link to your site. Most of the content on your Twitter feed should have nothing to do with your website. Instead, your tweets should provide some other sort of value for your followers. If you entertain your followers, they will be way more likely to click on links to your site when you post them.

Time Management

Anyone who has used Twitter for more than five minutes knows just how addicting it can be. That’s why it’s important to set fixed times every day when you will use Twitter. Set aside a few fifteen minute blocks of time every day for Twitter, and when that fifteen minutes is up, close Twitter, and walk away from it entirely until the next scheduled Twitter time . Learning to manage the time you spend on Twitter is an essential part of using it effectively.

Twitter can be a great marketing tool if you know how to use it. Keep these tips in mind and you will get more followers, and be more productive with your Twitter account in no time.

When to Hire a Contractor

When to Hire a Contractor

One of the most overlooked aspects of working online is hiring a contractor.

Let’s face it, not everyone can do everything online, and if they think they can they are joking themselves or they are taking way to much time to get work done because they are having to learn/struggle with every single aspect of web design, article writing, SEO, or some other area that is outside their expertise and they are spending way to much time on tasks that they are having to learn as they go or just take them a long time because of inexperience.

My niche is article writing. I was never found of writing in school, but I learned very quickly online that I was meant for it. I can write decently fast, not 90 words per minute, but I am able to get my ideas down on the “paper” as fast as I can think of them. I learned that when writing about subjects I enjoy I can write almost all day about them, hence why I write only on my niches I like to work on.

It could be different for you, maybe you love SEO, and playing the search engine game. That’s fine, it’s great even. Or maybe you are an awesome designer and just love creating useful art for websites, etc.

Whatever you do almost can be utilized online, however trying to learn everything else can be a mistake.

If you are a great web designer, why not hire a great copywriter to help you sell your services to potential clients instead of struggling to create website content to showcase your work?

If you are an SEO expert throw up a WordPress blog and hire a designer to create you a temple to showcase your SEO skills.

For me, as an article writer I am a bit SEO (but not all the way) with my keyword density, but I could hire both an SEO expert to get my on page SEO down and a designer to create my website for which I write.

Instead of trying to do things halfway, it is a lot easier and will save you a lot of time by simply hiring an outsourcer to do the work for you. Don’t be afraid to spend a little bit of money, because if the contractor is worth their weight, they will provide you with returns long after the work is completed.

Choosing a Niche for Affiliate Products

Choosing a Niche for Affiliate Products

Choosing a niche to go into can be a lot of work and extremely stressful for new internet marketers and future affiliate marketers. It doesn’t have to be that difficult though, and I will give you 4 tips below to help you choose your affiliate niche and product.

Something That Interests You
One of the most overlooked things about being an affiliate is picking a niche that you like. It helps prevent burnout and fatigue with work and will allow you to continue to push harder when times get rough if you are passionate about a subject. For example, I don’t care about forex, heck, I don’t even know what it means. Why would I spend time and effort on a product promoting a forex tool that I know nothing about, or care nothing about? Sure I can learn, but my heart won’t be there and it won’t show in my results. If you are passionate about a niche, promote a product within it — your excitement and knowledge will show through to the potential customers.

Something With Profit Potential
Of course, even if you like something doesn’t mean there is a profit potential. I suggest trying a few niches on topics you think you might like then seeing what works after a few months. If you have 10 sales on one item and no sales on another, then you should probably pick the one that has made you some money, right? This one is pretty simple, but see how successful and tight the competition is and go from there.

Reputable Offer (Not a Scam)
Make sure you check the offer out before you start promoting it. Read through every fine line of text on the sales/copywriting page. Make sure the offer sounds legitimate to you, not scammy. If it sounds like a scam to you, it will sound like a scam to your potential customer. Make sure the sales page is good, all the information is there and that the offer is valid (purchase it before hand, maybe?) and make sure you are promoting something worthwhile.

Good Commission
Finally, make sure your work is going to yield you a good commission. The percentage doesn’t really matter, but the amount does. If you can sell 10 copies of something at $50 or 10 copies of something else at $30, which will you choose?

How Many Blogs Should You Own?

How Many Blogs Should You Own?

The number of blogs you should own is up for debate in a lot of forums and blogs that I read, so I thought I would weigh in on the topic.

I write for about 4 or 5 blogs as a writer personally, and I make sure that I do not take on more clients than that. I love the writing aspect of blogging, but not the promotion and business end of it. I prefer to write great content that brings visitors back again and again, and leave it up to the site owners to get the readers (you!). There is so much more to running a successful site than writing content and you must be conscience of that before jumping into 10 different niches.

With that being said, I think that the happy number of blogs you should own, at most is 4 or 5.

Why?

It really is simple, if you get stretched to thin trying to write on to many different topics and niches you are going to burn out really bad, really fast. It takes a lot of work to manage a successful blog. You need to write new content every day, do social media and promote the new posts, bookmark, do SEO, comment on other people’s blogs, post on forums related to your niche, and more. You simply can’t do it for more than 5 blogs, you will burn out.

Of course, if you hire out help for writing content, promoting the blog, SEO, and other aspects of your business, you can do more. But as a general rule if you are running the blog yourself no more than 4 or 5 blogs.

The reasoning behind this is because it takes about 1.5 hours per day to write that new content for each blog. Maybe closer to 2.5 hours, depending on your niches and how comfortable you are writing able them. So factoring that in, you have 2 hours per day in sheer writing on average, plush everything else you have going on. One tip, if you have 5 blogs, rotate your promoting every day. On day one promote blog A, day two blog B, etc. That way you can focus your energy on that one blog and not try to do everything at once.

Once you start getting traffic to your first few blogs you can start to expand, at this point you should have some cash-flow and be able to outsource some hired help to manage your blogs and update them for you. Focus your attention on what you are passionate about and write for those niches only at first, then build into other areas.

Build a Successful Blog

Building a successful blog isn’t easy. It takes a ton of work, long hours promoting, writing, submitting to directories, and doing other mundane tasks.

But, luckily building a successful blog is possible. There are so many niches that need a top site still, and the field is wide open. Maybe you are an expert pottery maker, photographer, or management consultant. There are numerous people each day looking for content on your topic avidly online and you can be the site that they come to.

Content
Writing good content is really important to having a successful blog. Content should be aimed at readability for your visitors, but also for search engine optimization.

It takes a delicate balance between writing for the search engines and for your users.

The best way I can suggest to do it is to use keywords as part of sentences only when you need it. For example, if I have a website about chocolate pancakes, I do not need to include that in every sentence or even every other sentence. However, I can use the keyword in the opening sentence or as part of a sentence when needed. The other thing you can do is add your keyword to your content using h2 title tags within the content. You can have your opening sentence or “thesis” at the start of your paragraph even with your keyword in it, as a way to draw attention to your main idea for your reader, and to improve your search engine optimization (SEO) rank.

Marketing
Marketing your blog can be a chore unless you want to do it the right way. Marketing can be a lot of fun — visiting your favorite blogs on your specific niche can be a great way to market your blog through commenting on their recent posts. Engaging with top bloggers can get your name out there and get people to follow your blog when you write engaging comments and participate in discussion.

Another marketing method is to join forums that are related to your niche. Promote your blog lightly, through your forum signature only — or else you will just seem like a spammer.

Start slow building your blog and relationships with your readers. Find and engage your audience, promote it through social media, bookmarking and forums and take your time to build it, it will not come over night so be patient.

Beginner Site Flipping Techniques

Beginner Site Flipping Techniques

Site flipping is quickly becoming a viable way to make money online for people interested in creating websites.

It used to be that you would create website properties, manage them and nurture them into something that is a long term business idea. That still exists, but a new way of doing it has come about, it is called site flipping.
Site flipping is much like house flipping if you are familiar to that. You can start a new website, build some traffic, backlinks, and profit from it, then sell it on the marketplace.

So how do you go about doing that? The first thing you need to do is find a popular niche that you enjoy writing about. I say this because if you hate the niche you are working on, you are never going to make any money from it. A lot of people can write about random niches and be just fine, but for me, writing has to be about something I enjoy or else I will burn out really easily. So the first thing is to pick a niche, after that, you must find keywords relevant to that niche that you can be the most competitive in, then write great content around those keywords.

After you get your content going and your niche picked out, it is a good idea to get a great domain name. Having a great domain name will be a very attractive part of your offer, especially if it is zeroed in on your niche of choice.

When your site is up and running successfully, the real work begins. I recommend writing at least one great post per day of original content. You can intermix PLR (private label rights) articles as well, but having some great unique content is very important.

Promotion is definitely one of the most important areas as well. Starting to build quality back links on other websites, through blog commenting, forums postings, social media such as twitter, Facebook, and Delicious, are all very important to the success of the blog.

Once you start getting some good traffic and start making some profit from your affiliate offers or Adsense, it is time to start gearing up to sell your site. Make sure you use a reputable site, such as Flippa.com and Escrow or Paypal to ensure safe payment and transaction. There is no real timeline on how long you should hold a domain or property, but depending on the revenue and growth it could be 3 weeks or 3 years.

Good luck!

Choosing Your Domain Name By Keyword Analysis To Increase Your Serps Positioning

Choosing Your Domain Name By Keyword Analysis To Increase Your Serps Positioning

choosing a domain nameWhen your deciding on your next website you need to plan your domain name purchase very carefully as this is probably the most important part when setting up your website and achieving a great search engine position

First what you need to do is understand your niche, understanding the market and your website niches main keywords and also LSI keywords.  Its also good to find out your long tail keywords.  There are 2 tools you can use, one of them is free and the other is a paid version which is the most respected and used by experienced internet marketers because the many features and detailed results it gives.  The free version is the Google Adwords Keyword Tool

The second tool which i highly recommend and i personally use on a regular basis is the Keyword Elite 2.0 . The reason this tool is very good is because it will find out all the keywords that are searched everyday on search engines and will also give a much better list then the Google adwords free tool.  You will also find all the LSI keywords and long tail keywords which you can use as part of your optimisation phase when building your website.  Use the tool to do a search on your main keyword and see what the competition is like, how many times a month it is searched for.  Then filter through the results and then see if a domain name matching one of your main keywords is available.

Another great use of the Keyword Elite 2.0 is that you can use it to look for low competition keywords that you can dominate the search engines with if the domain name for that keyword is available you can pratically have a website on page 1 of Google within a few weeks if the competition for that keyword is below 12,000
