By getting some staff members on Craigslist, you will also be “creating jobs” for your local city, even if they are just temporary positions. Let’s say you need some regular blog posts for your business blog. You can hire someone and pay them $10 a day or so to create 2 or 3 blog posts for you. Or, if you need someone who can create simple web pages cheaply, you can hire a web designer for $10 to $15 an hour, instead of paying a professional design firm 10 times that amount. There are many unemployed people or students who are looking for part time job opportunities on Craigslist and who would be quite happy to find a legitimate opportunity to work from home and earn a few extra dollars.

But unfortunately, there are plenty of people who are still spamming MLM offers or some other scam programs on Craigslist. For these reasons, avoid using the words “make money online” or “work from home” in your ad. It will often be seen as spam/scam by viewers and will be flagged down rather quickly. Be as descriptive and professional as possible to avoid this.

Many people ask if you can still use Craiglist for affiliate offers. The answer is yes, but there are a few things that you should do and other things to be avoided if you want to see any kind of results from this. We will take a look at other uses of Craiglist for online marketing tomorrow.

Craigslist is a popular and free online classified ads site. While it certainly isn’t as popular as say Google or Facebook, it is still one of the most popular sites on the internet, with millions of users from all around the world visiting it. While there is nothing wrong with a global e-commerce site posting ads in multiple cities, remember that Craigslist is not mainly aimed at internet marketers, but rather for small, local businesses to post ads in the city where they operate.

• Providing services

If you offer some services that can be done over the internet, then you can use Craigslist to get some business too. For example, if you create websites for businesses and individuals, then you can put an ad in the right section to promote that. There are plenty of services that you can do over the internet and have your clients pay your by Paypal or another payment system. Some examples include: translation, writing, graphic design, flier/advertising design, promotional video creations and a whole lot more. If you want to appear more professional and therefore more trustworthy when providing these services, you can always create a simple “business” style website that gives details of what you do and your prices, as well as get a toll free phone number to get your clients to reach you. You can get one for a few dollars a month and then forward it to your cell phone, or just leave it to always go to voicemail. • Eliminate all distractions

You’re supposed to be working. Therefore, sign out of Facebook, Myspace or Twitter. Sign out of MSN, AIM, Yahoo Messenger or Skype, unless you actually need these to communicate with your clients. Close all other tabs and browser windows that you don’t need. This will help you concentrate on the task at hand. Sure, some people are able to work and talk to a friend on Skype at the same time. If you were looking for content to add to your website or for some ebooks that you can resell, then you may have come across someone selling PLR content. You may have been surprised that it is quite cheap or even free. In fact packs of PLR such as articles, ebooks, website templates, graphics, etc. are often given as a free gift when you buy some products in the internet marketing niche or you join a membership site about making money online. Can using PLR really earn you money, or is it just something that is good as “filler” content for your website?

As you may already know, PLR products give you “Private Label Rights”, meaning that depending on the license included with the content, you can do pretty much anything you want with it, including republish it, modify it, bundle it in another product, etc. This creates a wealth of opportunities in which PLR products can be used, some of which could indeed be very profitable for you.

Let’s take a look at PLR articles. Obviously, we all know that in order for a web page to be both attractive to readers and search engines, it needs to have regularly updated and unique content. PLR articles can help you with that. However, there are certain things that you should know about using them. If all you need is content for your site and you don’t care too much about SEO (i.e. you don’t expect to get most of your traffic from organic search results), then you can simply use the articles as they are on your site.

However, if you want to increase your ranking in the search engines, the content that you supply on your site needs to be actually unique. You will therefore need to rewrite it. However, we all know that rewriting content is far more simple than actually writing an article from scratch. You don’t really need to think up of original ideas, just say the same thing than the PLR article is saying but in different words. For example, if the original text is: “I saw a huge dog running on the street”, you could spin it to “I looked at the street and saw a big dog barreling through”. You get the idea. You can, of course hire a freelancer to do it for you. In that case you will save money, as rewriting is usually quite cheaper than writing original content. You can spin the PLR articles as many times as you desire to suit your needs.

Remember that you actually don’t have to use the entire article on your site. For example, if the PLR articles are 600 words each and you only need a 300 word blog post, you can use only parts of the article on your site. You can also split the article into two different posts as well.

Online article writing can be a great way to make some quick money online. If you have what it takes, you can also turn it into a full time freelancing job. But to get started, the first thing that you need to do is to find some clients who will pay you for your writing. Here are a few places where you can do so:

Internet marketing forums:

These are forums such as Digital Point and the Warrior Forum. They are a meeting place for those who want to earn money online to discuss ideas and network with each other. They are also a place for people who offer their services, such as article writing or graphic design to make acquire some customers and make money. Internet marketing forums are a great place to find work due to the fact many people are seeking content for their website in order to advance in search engine rankings or simply to present their products or affiliate offers to prospective clients. A lot of online marketers either aren’t good enough in English to write quality articles, or simply don’t have the time to write the necessary amount of content each day. This is why they seek to outsource this part of the job to others and why these forums are a good place to get clients.

Advantages:

• You set your own terms and prices. For example, you can offer discounts to repeat customers or those who make larger orders.
• If your work is of good quality and liked by clients, you can get a lot of repeat business. In this line of work, it is much better to work with a few different clients than to be constantly hunting for more work after writing a few articles.

Disadvantages:

• Some forums require you to pay around $20 to post a thread to offer your services. Some of them also require that your thread be approved by a moderator before it is posted.
• If you are new to the forum, a lot of the people will be wary of dealing with you and may only give you small orders to begin with.
• Possibility of getting scammed. While the majority of people on internet marketing forums are there to conduct honest business, there are always a few scammers out there who would simply have you submit the work and then disappear without paying. This can be mitigated by using common sense: if you are dealing with a new member with only a few posts and they are making a large order, arrange to split the work in a few parts. You would then send part of the work, get paid for it, and then go on to complete the remainder. Watch out for excuses such as “I can’t, I’m only getting paid in a few days, I will pay you then, etc.”

In order to make money online with a product it has to be successful. To make a successful product you must consider products that will attract the most attention, products you are extremely knowledgeable in, and can enjoy creating.

Attracting Attention
Do some online research and you can easily find products that are sought after in today’s market. If you are looking to create a product for use on a social media site, it would only be fitting that you focus on the more popular sites for social networking, like Facebook and Twitter. If you were to focus on a media site like MySpace, it is a less popular subject today than it once was, therefore it will not make as much profit as possible.

Knowledgeable
Products you market online should be related to a niche that you are familiar and knowledgeable in. Your consumers want to know that you are an expert in the particular topic you speak about. In order to ensure your consumers a product they would want to pay for you need to deliver information that is not easily accessible in other places. Unfortunately some of the best ways to place affiliate links involve black hat methods, we will cover one of these methods but are mostly interested in how to place you links using all white hat methods (the two in this article are enough to build a successful affiliate career that is completely white hat).

Linking in eBooks

It is no secret that people on the internet love ebooks, however most beginning internet marketers become suspicious after their first few “Sell this ebook on forums” ebooks that they purchase.  Avoid and reshape this mentality by creating (or buying the rights for) ebooks and giving them away for free, now this activity might seem counterintuitive “How can I make money by giving stuff away?” but it is truly ingenious. What you are looking to do is create an ebook about how to make money online using different products, explain the overwhelmingly positive benefits of each of these products and each time you mention the product place it as a hyperlink with your affiliate link as the target.  You can use this technique with all sorts of different niches and some say targeting niches that are not internet marketing are more profitable because people tend to not be expecting affiliate links (did you know the average person does not know that there is any such thing as an affiliate link?).

Article Marketing

This technique will again be focusing on giving people free content and sneaking in your affiliate links. While article marketing can be sort of a shot in the dark, it is a nice way to put some of you links out on the internet and never have to think about them again. Your goal in article marketing is the same as with writing an ebook, provide quality content and advice that causes the user to realize they really need the products in the book, then put your affiliate links and the targets for the product hyperlinks. Article marketing is a much faster way to get your affiliate links out to the world.

Craigslist

This one is definitely blackhat, so only read ahead if you have no problems scamming ordinary everyday people out of their money.  One of the best ways to work affiliate links into craigslist is in the jobs section, when searching for jobs people are nearly as desperate as ever and will go to great lengths to get a job. Another excellent way is in the for sale section, you can actually get away with posting straight affiliate links to Amazon and surprisingly people will purchase through your link! Again, these methods are blackhat and can get you flagged on craigslist.

That’s all there is to it, it takes a little bit of work and patience once you have the links placed, but the internet is a big place and over time you will start seeing sales rolling in via your affiliate links.

In the online marketing world, you’ve probably seen the name Clickbank mentioned quite a few times. In fact it has been the topic of many informational products and many of the “proofs of earnings” that you see posted online by successful marketers are screen shots of their Clickbank accounts. Obviously, since that network is so popular, it must have something good to offer to marketers and allow people to earn significant amounts of money.

Clickbank is basically an online marketplace for digital products. Affiliates make money from it by promoting products created by others through various means. Most of the products sold are informational products, such as guides on how to make money online, how to train your dog, how to lose weight, etc. Practically all the products being sold on Clickbank have one thing in common: they fill a need that people have, which is to find answers to their questions.

So how do you make money from it? Getting started is quite easy. You just sign up. Unlike certain other affiliate networks, everyone is approved and there is no need to speak to an affiliate manager before you are let in.

You will then need to select the product that you want to promote. As you can see, there are thousands of different products to choose from. When looking at a product in the list, you will see something called “gravity.” This is a number that is calculated by Clickbank and designed to reflect the overall popularity of a certain product, taking into account the number of sales and how recently they happened. A higher gravity means that a product is very popular, but it also indicates that you will face a lot of competition when promoting it. An ideal choice would be to select a product which has a gravity that is around 100. You will get a product that is getting many sales, but doesn’t have as many people promoting it as the top ones are.

Knowing how much competition you have will be important. No matter how good or popular the product that you are promoting is, the more affiliates you have that are pushing it, the more difficult it will be for you to make a profit, as they will be plenty of ads online for basically the same offer.

Another thing to look for when selecting a product to promote is the resources that the creators have given to the affiliates who will promote their creation. Simply go to their sales page and look at the bottom for a link called “affiliates.” In many cases, you will find various tools to help you out such as keyword lists, articles about the product, pre-made banners, various landing page templates, etc. All of these can save you a lot of work when you get started in your campaign to market their product.

“Earn money playing roulette” / “Guaranteed sports betting method” / Various gambling related products.

These are all advertised in a similar fashion. Someone claims to have developed an “ultra secret” method that would let them win at a game of chance (such as roulette or sports betting) and surprise, surprise, they are willing to share it with a “limited few exclusive buyers”… for a price, of course. Many people will (and rightly so), discard such ideas straight into the rubbish bin where they belong. But the language used on the page is especially designed to draw you in and to make you leave your reason and logic at the door. Don’t do that… Let’s analyze these claims a bit:

“Guaranteed to win”. No. Wrong. If there was such a system, then casinos and book makers would have all gone bankrupt by now. There are systems which can, if used properly, increase your chances of winning (slightly, only slightly). But none can guarantee that you will be able to walk away a winner every time. Gambling is a game of chance, not a way to make stable income.

“Super secret, only shared with limited amounts of people”. Lie. Big one on top of that. Their sites have been up for months, and sometimes even several year. Almost all have affiliate programs which encourage other marketers to re-sell the ever-so-secret system to others. Not exactly the type of thing you would engage in if you wanted to keep something “secret”.

And here’s the kicker, ladies and gentlemen. The site owner claims he has a system that can make you rich by gambling (which is super secret, don’t forget). Then WHY, oh WHY is he selling it? Doesn’t he make enough money already from using his system? Why does he care about the $39.99 or $77.77 or $99.97 that he will make by selling his system, if he can simply use it and win thousands every day?

Avoid these types of sites. The “systems” are usually little more than basic strategies you can find for free online or in any gambling book. If not, they are simply variations of the “martingale system” (doubling the amount of your bet every time you lose in a hope to eventually regain your losses and come out ahead) or simple bankroll management strategies that while they may increase your chances of winning, will not guarantee it and are also freely available online as well.

When searching for ways to earn money online, we can easily get sucked into beautiful marketing materials that promise everything. The important thing is not to stop using common sense. If something looks too good to be true, then it probably is. Before spending money on any “system” or “method” carefully examine all the claims and see whether they make sense to you or are simply hype.

MLM / Multi Level Marketing

These offers are often touted as a great way to own your own business and be your own boss. Very often, the advertisements that you will find for these type of opportunities will be worded vaguely and appear to be quite generic, rarely going into detail as to what exactly this “business opportunity” will consist of. In a nutshell, MLM consists of becoming an “independent distributor” for a company where you will resell their products at a commission. You will also need to recruit more independent reps into the business, for which you will also earn money.

This isn’t to say that the whole industry is bad or that it is not possible to earn money in it. Indeed, there are many people who have been quite successful in it. However, in many of these opportunities the sales pitch to get you to join will be quite misleading and only present the positive aspects of the business. While it is often touted as being something “easy”, in reality you will have to do a lot of work to achieve success. Depending on the program, you will also need to pay in order to join or to buy merchandise, the costs of which could end up quite significant. If you decide to pursue such as opportunity, be sure that you do some independent research on what the company is, what products are they pushing, what their compensation plan is and what the general rules are. Unfortunately, many people don’t do this and are thus out of the fee they paid to join and stuck with boxes full of useless, overpriced merchandise that is hard to sell. They then realize that the only way to recoup their losses is to dupe other people into joining the business.

Forex Trading

While retail Forex trading has been around for many years, it has just recently seen a surge in popularity and is often advertised as a way to make money on the internet. You see ads touting that you can make $1000 a day or more just by trading foreign currencies online. If you are a beginner and have zero experience in the foreign exchange market, you will be in for a very rough ride indeed. The whole point of Forex is to take profit from the fluctuations in the value of foreign currency pairs that occur each day. You will of course, you need money to invest. The problem is, most people who sign up for these sites and play the market end up losing money rather than making the large amounts that are claimed in the ads.

If playing the foreign exchange markets interests you, start by reading as much independent information as you can. Then, open a practice account and trade with play money until you are confident enough to risk real funds. Remember that in addition to the opportunity to earn money, you will have plenty more “opportunities” to lose some if the markets don’t move your way.

When you are seeking for ways to make money online, chances are you will be bombarded with advertising for many different earning methods. And of course, the majority of these will require you to spend some money in order to join the program or “unlock the top secret power to become rich”, etc. Here is an overview of some of the most common ads related to money making found online and the truth behind them.

“Single mom makes $600 a day with Google!/Earn $500 an hour online!/Join my top secret money making club, etc”

These are advertisements for either electronic guides (also called ebooks) or membership sites which show you information on how you can earn online. Due to the fact that the offers are varied (there’s thousands of them out there), it is not possible to make a judgment as to whether the information found in each one of them is valid or useful. In general, they will show you some ways that are used to generate some income on the internet. Here are some things that they conveniently fail to mention or hide deep in the fine print of their site:

• It’s not easy. People who earn impressive figures online have spent countless hours building up their business ad still need to work several hours a day to run their online business.
• You will probably need to invest money (and may lose it). While it IS possible to start a online business with little or no money, if you hope to earn any significant amount you will need to put up your own funds.
• The earning figures are exaggerated. The chances that you will be earning anything remotely close to what was advertised during your first attempts are quite remote themselves.

Furthermore, many of these are “trial” offers. You are told that you can access the site right away for just $1.97 or some other small amount. What is buried in the fine print is the fact that if you fail to cancel your subscription to the site within a certain period (varies between 3 days and 2 weeks), you will be charged the full amount which ranges anywhere from $30 to $100 a month. Sure, you can call to cancel, but be prepared to wait on hold, then sometimes have a rep try to “retain” you as a member of the site by trying to talk you out of canceling, offering you a discount or a “super exclusive bonus just for you because you are such a great person”.

Once again, not all money making guides or membership sites are inherently bad. Just make sure you know what you are getting yourself into. If you pay for something, make sure that there is a money back guarantee that you can use if you are not satisfied with the product. If you sign up for a trial offer, find the number to call if you want to cancel and make sure that this number actually works.

Well to start, if you are already rich and making thousands a day, skip this post. If not, chances are you may be looking for some ways that can bring you a few more dollars at the end of the month. Once again, this is not something that will make you wealthy, but it might earn you a bit of “beer money”.

Here are two methods you can use. As you will notice, they don’t require much brain power and can actually be quite fun, so if you are just browsing the internet to look for funny videos or to chat with friends on MSN, why not also do something that can bring you some money at the same time?

First method: Online surveys.

You may have seen some advertising or gotten your email spammed about how you can supposedly make $50 – $100 an hour doing surveys. This is misleading, to say the least. Let me tell you, it definitely IS possible to make some money with online surveys. And you just MIGHT (and I say MIGHT) make $50 in an hour if you got selected for some high paying surveys. But you WON’T make $50 an hour x 8 hours x 5 days a week. To get started, simply do a Google search for paid surveys, and sign up for a few panels that you find. Remember, you a legitimate survey site will never ask you to buy anything or to give your credit card number. If you register for nearly all the panels, you probably will receive a few survey invitations a week, and the surveys generally pay $5 to $10 each.

Second method: Gamble… for free.

Here is a method that has made me a few hundred dollars so far this year.
