What You Can Learn From Twitter

If you read this site, you probably already know you can use Twitter to promote your website. What you might not know is that it can also be a valuable market research tool. Twitter can help you learn a lot about your audience, and their opinions about your products.

Solicited Feedback

If you have a large number of followers that are interested in your products, poll them whenever you want some feedback about a feature. Just ask your users a question, and wait for some responses. If you don’t get any responses right away, ask again later. The responses to your questions will give you some idea of the overall attitude of your customers toward your products.

Unsolicited Feedback

If your followers care about your products, they’ll @reply you and let you know what they think of your stuff. Take that criticism to heart. Unsolicited feedback is the most honest feedback you’ll ever get. Unsolicited feedback comes from customers that genuinely care about your products. If you get a lot of positive feedback about a product, try to apply the best features of that product to other products. If you get a lot of negative feedback about a product, try to improve the features your users didn’t care for before launching another product in the same line.

Search Results

Even if they’re not addressing their comments your users might still be talking about your products. Once a week, do a Twitter search for your products, and your company name. Keep an eye on what people are saying about you in the search results, and you can get a good idea of how people feel about your company and your products. You can also use the search results to get an understanding of what topics your niche is interested in.

Twitter is an extremely useful tool for marketing your site, and your products, but it’s just as useful in developing your marketing strategies. Pay attention to your user’s feedback, and keep up on your niche’s interests by doing frequent searches, and you will be able to keep evolving your marketing strategies in a profitable direction.

Choosing a Niche for Affiliate Products

Choosing a Niche for Affiliate Products

Choosing a niche to go into can be a lot of work and extremely stressful for new internet marketers and future affiliate marketers. It doesn’t have to be that difficult though, and I will give you 4 tips below to help you choose your affiliate niche and product.

Something That Interests You
One of the most overlooked things about being an affiliate is picking a niche that you like. It helps prevent burnout and fatigue with work and will allow you to continue to push harder when times get rough if you are passionate about a subject. For example, I don’t care about forex, heck, I don’t even know what it means. Why would I spend time and effort on a product promoting a forex tool that I know nothing about, or care nothing about? Sure I can learn, but my heart won’t be there and it won’t show in my results. If you are passionate about a niche, promote a product within it — your excitement and knowledge will show through to the potential customers.

Something With Profit Potential
Of course, even if you like something doesn’t mean there is a profit potential. I suggest trying a few niches on topics you think you might like then seeing what works after a few months. If you have 10 sales on one item and no sales on another, then you should probably pick the one that has made you some money, right? This one is pretty simple, but see how successful and tight the competition is and go from there.

Reputable Offer (Not a Scam)
Make sure you check the offer out before you start promoting it. Read through every fine line of text on the sales/copywriting page. Make sure the offer sounds legitimate to you, not scammy. If it sounds like a scam to you, it will sound like a scam to your potential customer. Make sure the sales page is good, all the information is there and that the offer is valid (purchase it before hand, maybe?) and make sure you are promoting something worthwhile.

Good Commission
Finally, make sure your work is going to yield you a good commission. The percentage doesn’t really matter, but the amount does. If you can sell 10 copies of something at $50 or 10 copies of something else at $30, which will you choose?

Improving Search Traffic To Your Site

Search engine traffic is one of the most important ways to be successful online. When people can find your blog or website just by typing into Google your keyword, that is a very powerful thing.

Google and other search engines love new content. It has been said that Google prefers websites that have new content on a consistent basis. So one of the ways to get to Google’s heart is to consistently update your blog or website.

New content is a powerful thing for many reasons, not just search engine ranking.

New content brings visitors back again and again.
New content means your RSS feed goes out, again and again.
New content keeps you engaged with your site.
New content forces you to continue promotion of your site, you’d hate for that great content to go to waste, wouldn’t you?

New content is one of the driving forces behind the next big part of organic, search engine traffic. In order to get that content to show up and rank in Google however, there are some things you have to do first.

Make your site SEO friendly, use good title tags and make good use of heading tags as well. Also make sure you submit your Sitemap to Google’s Webmaster Tools, this will help Google crawl your site more efficiently.

Getting backlinks to your site will also help your site start to rank higher and get crawled more often. What happens when the Google Bot gets to another site with your link on it, is it then follows it back to your. A lot of people call this “Google Juice.” Call it whatever you want, it is one of the most important parts of the organic traffic equation.

If you are just getting started on your website, be patient and make sure you submit your site to all of the search engines so that they can begin crawling your site as soon as possible.
