Freelance jobs, such as transcription work, article writing, programming, translation, graphic design and more can be found for free on various sites, without you needing to join a membership site and pay anywhere from $30 to $100 a month for this privilege. Just take a look at sites such as ODesk, elance and more.

As for tips and advice on how to increase your earnings, these can be found for free just by searching for information on blogs and forums. All that these sites do is to collect information from other sites and then charge you to read the same things you can find for free if only you spend a few minutes doing some research.

  • Day trading / forex

You will also find sites which claim you can make money from the markets by day trading stocks or participating in the foreign exchange (forex) market. Again, it is possible to make money this way and many people have been highly successful with it. But it is simply not as easy as a lot of sellers of guides and systems tell you. First, you will need to have access to a significant amount of risk capital if you want a shot at making more than just a few dollars a day. Then, you will also need to gain an understanding of how markets work and how you can profit from them. There are no magical systems which allow you to make guaranteed profits from the markets. Otherwise, everyone could become a millionaire in just a few weeks. Remember that while you can make money, there is also the very real possibility of losing money, especially in the beginning.

When you create a membership site, you need to promote it in order to get people to subscribe to it and thus make some money from it. We have already seen how using internet marketing forums could get you the members that you need to your site. But what about using your existing members to promote the site for you? This is indeed quite possible.


If you run a quality site that is very helpful and informational, many people will tell their friends about it and encourage them to join if they want to learn a few things about online marketing. Indeed, word of mouth marketing can be quite a powerful tool. But if you want to be even more successful with it, then you will need to give incentives to your members so that they recruit others to join. This can be done by various means such as:

By far, one of the most popular methods of earning money online. You basically provide your services and skills to others, in exchange for payment. What you can do will largely depend on your skills: writing articles, making blog or forum posts, designing web sites, creating logos and graphics, etc. Many internet marketers, especially those who run many websites, often outsource certain tasks (like graphic design and article writing) in order to save time. However, the tasks on this site will likely be much shorter and more repetitive than on Fiverr and will include things such as: gathering information online, categorizing pictures, etc. The pay for each task accomplished is usually a few cents, but the tasks seldom take more than a few minutes to complete. These tend to be a bit more “formal” and require you to create a profile detailing your skills, experience, a portfolio of some samples of your work, etc. The way they work is similar to this: client posts project, workers place bids, client selects one or more workers to complete the task. While it may take some time for you to find projects to work on, you could earn a decent amount depending on what services you offer. Some examples of freelancing sites are Guru (www.guru.com), RentACoder (www.rentacoder.com) and oDesk (www.odesk.com). A good thing about freelancing sites in general, is that if you are reliable and produce good quality work, clients will often hire you for regular projects, which means that you would spend more time working and earning money, rather than scouring the internet for work to do.

The ultimate goal of any website is to get traffic. Success online rides completely on how much traffic your site gets. The more people that see your site, the better off you are. Each new visitor means a potential sale, or a potential click on one of your ads. One of the most important sources of traffic for any website is incoming links from other sites. There are a few important things you can keep in mind in order to get more incoming links to your site.

Getting other people to link to you is all about high quality content. No other tip for getting incoming links will do you any good if your content isn’t appealing to your readers. Try to think about your readers, and what sort of problems and questions they might have. Each article you write for your site should aim to solve a problem, or answer a question for your readers. If you’re helping them with a problem, they’ll be excited about your content, and they’ll be more inclined to share it with a friend.

Once you have some high quality content in place, it’s time to start getting the word out about it. Start by sharing the content with your Facebook fans, and Twitter followers. Once you’ve done that, think about all of the sites you visit on a daily basis. If you’re on any forums regularly, be sure to put your link in your signature. If you comment frequently on any blogs, make sure to fill out the “website” section of your profile. Once you are putting your content out there, it’s only a matter of time before other sites start picking it up.

If you have been putting your content out there, but you don’t feel like it’s catching on as quickly as it should, take a few minutes, and politely email the owners and editors of any large sites in your niche. Once you have a few links out there, the rest will basically take care of itself. As more and more people see your content, they’ll share it with their friends. As word gets around, other sites in your niche will start to talk about your content, even if you didn’t directly ask them to. Just remember, none of this matters if you don’t start with high quality content. That’s the real key to getting more incoming links.
