Tips for Writing Better Articles

Article marketing can be a very useful way of advertising your website, by including your articles in various directories and having them posted on other people’s blogs with links to your website. Of course, articles can also serve as blog posts for your own blog as well. Now many people are reluctant to use article marketing because they feel that they’re not good writers. But the reality is, the majority of online content is written at about a 9th grade level, so you definitely do not need to have the skills of J.R.R. Tolkien or William Shakespeare if you want to write some web articles. Here are a few tips that you can employ to quickly write excellent and informative articles.

  • Plan Your Writing

Before you begin writing your article, you will need to plan it well. Think of the title, the introduction, as well as the structure of the article. The structure includes your main article body’s talking points, which is the core of the information that you will be presenting. Then think of the conclusion and call to action, if any, that you will be using in your article. Think if you will need to look up or research some information and what specific information that would be. It is a good idea to open your resources before you start even writing the article.

  • Write In a Structured, Logical Way

Normally, an article will have an introduction that will describe the topic, some well defined talking points in the body and a conclusion. If you are presenting different kinds of information, such as showing the different advantages of a product, it is better to neatly regroup that information into paragraphs with subheaders then to have information that is all over the place. Also, avoid repeating something that you’ve already said several times within the article. Chances are, your readers have already understood it the first and second times.

  • Think of Your Audience

When writing, think of the person that will be reading your article, as it will be a human and not a robot that will be reading it. What are likely to be that person’s interests, as well as their level of understanding of the material that you are presenting? This will help you write content that will be well suited for your audience. For example, if you have a blog that explains the basics of using a computer to those that are using one for the first time, it’s not a good idea to post articles about the different networking protocols and the details about how encryption algorithms work during an SSL session.

  • Include Links to Internal and External Content

Obviously, you would include links to products that you are promoting. But if you post the article on your own site, make sure you include links to the relevant internal pages, especially if you reference some thing that you talk about in another article on your website.

Some Article Marketing Tips

Some Article Marketing Tips

Using article marketing is a good way to drive some traffic to your sites, as it works in two different ways. First, you can receive traffic from people who are viewing your article and then decide to click through to continue on to your site. You also have some SEO benefits from it, as every time you include a link to your site, it counts as a one way backlink which can be very useful in boosting your search engine ranking. But are there some things you should do to increase the efficiency of your article marketing efforts? Definitely. Here are some of them:

  • Use Only Unique Content

In most cases, article directories only accept content that is unique and has never been posted anywhere before. It doesn’t matter if you wrote it, or if it has been posted on a site that you own. Your content needs to be unique. Search engines frown on duplicate content and so do visitors. If someone starts reading the article and notices that they have already seen the exact same information some where else, they will probably just move on to something else and not bother continuing.

  • Avoid Making too Many “Salesy” Articles

There are way too many fake “reviews” of online products being posted all over the place and this is something that seems to be especially popular when promoting internet marketing related stuff such as e-books, membership sites and courses. The articles usually go like this: “Product X is a SCAM!! Arrghh!!! Oops… Actually, It’s Not, Buy It!!!!!” See, the thing is these might have been effective 6 years ago or so… but not anymore. The problem is that there are simply too many of them and the reader will automatically see that your “review” is completely bogus and you are just trying to make money by selling your own, or an affiliate product.

Articles that you post should always include useful information about your niche. For example, if you are promoting an “alternative energy” guide, you could post something about the different kinds of ways you can generate alternative energy and their pros and cons. Or, you could go into detail about how a certain method works and then explain why you think that it would be suitable as a solution for someone looking for an alternative energy generator for their home. Believe me, this is much, much more likely to result in someone visiting your site and buying the product you are promoting, as opposed to simply going on and on about how great the ‘ACME Green Energy Super Guide’ is and why everyone on the planet should drop everything that they’re doing and rush to buy it. Keep the sales pitch for your website. If a user has clicked through to it, then it means they are seeking more information about what you just told them in the article and now would be a good time to propose some products to buy.

A Virtual Staff Can Propel You To Success – Part 3

A Virtual Staff Can Propel You To Success – Part 3

Now that you know how to find a virtual staff, it is time to go forward and to actually set up your business in an efficient way to take full advantage of the opportunities that having a staff to help you will provide.

There are basically two things that they can be helpful for. Either by helping you with your own internet marketing efforts or by providing services to other internet marketers.

Let’s say that you are an affiliate marketer that is pushing Clickbank ebooks. You can use your staff to do certain things, such as writing articles that you will submit to article directories, building landing pages for you, building backlinks, etc.

You can also provide services to other internet marketers and business owners as well. This can be done by simply applying the “Buy low – sell high” concept that nearly any business in the world uses. Now say you own a landscaping company. You would charge the client a certain rate for landscaping services, which would factor in the cost of materials, operations and wages for your employees. You would then picket the difference as your profit.

The same thing can be applied online as well, and doing so actually is more advantageous in many aspects than running a “traditional” business for many reasons. First of all, you won’t have much overhead, as you don’t need a physical office from where to run your business. You can run everything from home… or anyplace that has a computer and internet access, for that matter. It’s that simple.

All you have to do is to find clients that will pay you for your services. This can be done by putting up a thread on internet marketing forums or on classified ads sites that will attract customers who will pay for your services. You will then outsource the work to your virtual staff and pay them a lower price than what the client is paying you and thus pocket the profit.

Say, for example, that a client is paying you $6 to write a 400 word article to promote their website. You would then pay $3 to the outsourcer and then pocket the profit. While this may seem like just a few dollars a profit, if you get larger products and many new clients you can make a lot of money by outsourcing services to your staff members.

One of the best things that you can do with this method is to basically do a combination of both providing services for others and using your virtual staff for your own marketing efforts. That way, you have two streams of income at any time.

Now, how do you make sure that all your operations will run smoothly and that the staff that you hire will be the very best? Join in tomorrow for more information about how to ensure that your staff members will be capable of doing the job and how to avoid common scams.

Getting The Most Out Of Article Marketing

Getting The Most Out Of Article Marketing

We all know that article marketing is an effective way to get traffic to your website. Whether it is a product that you own, or an affiliate offer that you are running, it is a very effective way of getting the visitors that you need. It also gives you the opportunity to get free traffic. Article marketing can bring you traffic in two ways, either by having readers who see your article click through to your site via your links, or by building backlinks that will help you rise in search engines for your desired keywords. While it is an effective marketing method, there are some things you need to keep under consideration to get the most out of it.

Many who are starting out in article marketing wonder just how long the articles have to be in order to be effective. The general rule is that an article of around 300 to 400 words in sufficient. You see, online readers typically have a short attention span. Any longer and they are likely to lose interest an feel bored. Unless your content has truly captivated them, they wouldn’t bother with reading a long wall of text. If you think that you have more to say than what would fit in a 400 word article, it would be better to split your ideas into two articles or so.

Remember, when you are doing article marketing, the goal is to get the reader to visit your website. Give them some basic information about the topic that your readers are interested in, but leave them wnting to know more about what you are talking about. If your article gives them all the details that they were looking for, readers will see no point in continuing on to your site.

If you want your articles to be useful in getting you backlinks in search engines, the content will have to be unique. Submitting articles to various respected article directories and websites is naturally a good thing to do, but the search engines are looking for content that is unique. Therefore, don’t simply submit the same article over and over. You can, instead, rewrite the article so that search engines will consider it to be unique.

There are a few tools and services available online which claim to be able to automatically take content and make it unique. If you use one of them, make sure that the articles come out as readable to a human being, rather than some gibberish which looks like it was written by someone who doesn’t even speak English. If readers can’t even understand what you are saying, they are quite unlikely to want to visit your website afterward and will simply go read something else. Therefore, it could be much better to rewrite the articles yourself or pay a freelancer a couple of dollars per article to do it for you. The results will usually be quite better.

Introduction to Ezine Article Publishing

Introduction to Ezine Article Publishing

EzineArticles.com is one of the leading article directories online today and has been established for a very long time in the marketing and article space.

Ezine Articles essentially lets your post your articles (rewritten for Ezine or as you posted on your own blog) to their database of articles with millions of visits each month. What that does, is it brings you visitors and backlinks to your website creating a lot of value for your business.

Some people make a living by posting to Ezine and linking out to affiliate products or their own products and selling people from their articles on the products and websites.

Ezine is a very powerful tool that should be in every internet marketers business plan.

There are two differing camps when it comes to article publishing on article directories. Some people believe that all the content must be unique that you post on your blog, therefore you should never post vanilla posts from your blog onto article directories. Then, there are other internet marketers who have claimed they have had no ill effects from publishing the same article from their blog a few days later on the most popular article directories. Personally, I have no problem posting my articles from my own blog onto article directories, but I usually wait at least a week before I do so, that way I have time for my own articles to be indexed and to appear as the original article source.

Once you are ready to start publishing, it is a good idea to go through and read some of the Ezine Articles to see what style are most popular and which topics seem to be as well.

You are not allowed to use affiliate links directly in your Ezine articles, so instead you need to set up a sub directory with 301 redirect to your affiliate link, if that is the way you are going to go.

Linking is also very closely monitored, you can not have links in the first 2/3rd’s of the article, so be conscience of that so that you can save yourself some frustration, there is also a limit on the number of links that are allowed.

Ezine Articles can be a very powerful tool to incorporate into your business, learning the ropes first and taking it slowly (so you don’t get banned) is important so that you can create unique content that will garner you some great responses to your links, in turn making you some money.

Article Spinner Software To Reword Your Articles To Help Build Your Backlinks

backlinks_previewA great way to increase your search engine rankings is to write articles and submit them to free article websites (e.g ezine article directory) with a link back to your website.

A good article is an article that is relevant to your websites niche and had all your main keywords within the article.  You will also need to make sure this article is unique and not copied from anywhere else, because if the article is a duplicate to another article on the internet then Google will not add this as a backlink for your website.

Writing many different articles can be very time consuming and difficult if you can’t think of many thinks to write about on your websites niche.  A great tool i have found is an article spinner application that will spin your article to many different articles

Click Here To View Their Website

Article spinning software is an application that will make several different versions of 1 article meaning that you can use all these different versions and not be penialised for having duplicate articles.  This is great if you have one article and want to make 100 different versions of the same article and then submit these articles to directories which will increase your backlinks
